An Abandoned Puppy Protects And Guides His Sister Until They Are Rescued

Animals do not cease to amaze us every day. We often wonder how they can know what we are saying or what they have to do. The truth is that they demonstrate an intelligence far beyond what science has proven.

We’ve heard many stories of dogs helping humans and even saving their lives or the lives of other animals. Today,  we are going to tell a story of how animals, unlike what many humans say, can indeed demonstrate natural love. This love is what we naturally feel for those who are part of our family.

Many people believe that animals are incapable of feeling love, as they say they do not feel homesick when they separate from their family. But the story of two Galgo puppies, could not only move hearts, but also change the opinion of many.

The story of Pisper and the blind dog Blinder

That’s what they called these two Galgo puppies, male and female: Pisper and Blinder. Apparently, these puppies had been abandoned somewhere remote on a mountain. That’s why it is believed that they are dogs that are normally used for hunting.

Blinder is the female of this couple and has the particularity of being blind. The puppies are brothers and the journey they took was neither easy nor short, but Pisper never left his sister.

No one saw them on their way, but the fact that Pisper and Blinder arrived together leaves no doubt that Pisper strove to guide, care for and protect his sister Blinder.

One day they appeared near a shelter for abused women in Navalcarnero, Madrid. Pisper and Blinder couldn’t have come to a better place, as the women in the foster home accepted them willingly and gave them food and everything they needed to be well.

Soon, the protective association “O Refúgio”, in the same locality, took them to give them veterinary care and find a new family for the dogs. Once there, they knew that Blinder’s blindness had a solution, as it was no more than a viral problem.

According to one of the members of The Refuge, “it is amazing that a little dog like Pisper knew that he and his sister had been abandoned, that she was blind and therefore he could not leave her alone and that he should take care of her. and protect it”. Also, they ensure that they will do everything possible to adopt them together, not to separate them, as Pisper and Blinder have shown a love that goes beyond all prejudice. This is the natural love of animals.

Although at the women’s shelter everyone is happy that Pisper and Blinder are being well taken care of, they can’t help but miss it, because they’ve already gotten used to the dogs. The first day they saw them, they gave them food, clothes, a place to sleep and even a little house where they could stay.

Whenever they returned from work, Pisper and Blinder were there to welcome them, and they again fed them and played with them.

But these women, who were the ones who warned the protective association, understand that they cannot make themselves responsible for them and that they will very soon find a home that cares for them and loves them very much.
