Halloween is just around the corner and you’ve certainly got your costume, but what about your pet? Don’t you think he can dress up too? So, get  into the fashion of taking your pet to the Halloween party  and make him a scary costume. Let’s give you some ideas so that you don’t go unnoticed.

Costume your pet for Halloween

It doesn’t matter what pet you have. You can dress him up for such a fun date. Here are some ideas that will make your pet even more beautiful:

Lion

If what you want is for your pet to scare you around, a lion’s mane will be more than enough if you have a  big furry dog with a color similar to a lion, like a golden retriever or a Labrador.

We are sure that, with this idea, people’s first reaction will be to jump. But, when they look better and see the beautiful face of your dog, everything will turn into praise and affection.

Frankenstein

If you have a boxer or pit bull dog, a little makeup will be more than enough. Remember to buy chemical-free makeup so as not to harm your pet. The best ones are usually those used for children, because, given the sensitivity of their skin, they are designed not to cause harm.

All you have to do is draw scars on your face and body, in the purest Frankenstein style. And if, in addition, you also get a type of headband with screws from a costume store and put it behind your dog’s head, you’ll have a super complete costume.

Skeleton

If your dog is medium-sized or large and dark in color,  with a little white makeup, you can draw a skeleton  that will scare everyone. This is a very creative and inexpensive costume to show off your pet on Halloween.

Ghost

Just get an old sheet to make holes  for your eyes and nose. No doubt your pet will be a very adorable ghost that everyone will want to squeeze.

Pumpkin

You can choose to make a foam rubber pumpkin costume, but allow your pet to see, paw through it and breathe, of course. Another simpler way to make a pumpkin costume is to  paint an old orange sheet on which you can hang small, handmade pumpkins .

For a more special touch,  you can draw different faces on them, for example scary, funny or terrified. You will definitely be successful with your pet on Halloween.

Mage

Dressing up your pet as a magician, whether it’s a dog or a cat, is very easy: just make a black cape and a hat like the one of the magician Merlin.

If you want to make it a little scarier, make a black costume, but if you’re looking for a fun touch, you can use blue fabric with stars or black fabric  with frogs, or whatever you think will do. There are no limits to imagination!

Martini

And since alcohol – for some – can be the mainstay of the Halloween party, why not dress up your pet as a martini glass? Just put on a necklace like those used when animals have neck injuries and make a felted skewer of olives. You can ‘stuff’ them with anchovies or red peppers, which will add a touch of color to the costume.

As you can see, these ideas are simple and inexpensive, and without a doubt, regardless of which one you choose, you and your pet will be the kings of the Halloween party. How about trying one of them?
